About us

Chris Bremner

I consider myself one of the lucky ones because I genuinely love what I do. Since you’re here to learn “about me,” I will share a bit of my story—no generic sales pitch.

I’m a proud Minnesota native who has spent most of my life in the Twin Cities. My childhood was anything but typical. My dad was 53 when I was born (he’s 98 as I write this) and retired shortly after, so I grew up with two fully present, stay-at-home parents. Looking back, I realize how fortunate I was to have such engaged and supportive parents throughout my entire childhood.

When I was nine, my parents packed up and moved from Edina to Washburn, Wi on the South Shore of Lake Superior, where I lived from ages nine to 18. It was the perfect place for a boy to grow up. It sparked my lifelong appreciation for nature, the outdoors, and small-town values that I carry with me to this day.

After graduating Summa Cum Laude with a marketing degree from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, I had my ups and downs. Transparency is a huge value of mine, so I’ll be the first to tell you that my 20s were challenging—I struggled with alcohol, a battle that nearly cost me everything. In 2009 something clicked and I realized I had a very serious choice to make. I made the decision to quit, and I’ve never looked back. There is no doubt in my mind I wouldn’t have my life today if booze was in the mix.

In my 30s, I worked in personal health and fitness—a passion that remains close to my heart. Helping people improve their lives was deeply rewarding, and it’s what inspired my transition into real estate. I’ve found great joy in guiding people through one of life’s most significant milestones: finding the right home for themselves and their families.

For me, real estate is about more than transactions—it’s about trust, reliability, and delivering on promises in an industry where those qualities are often lacking. I take pride in being a partner my clients can count on during one of the most important financial decisions of their lives.

These days, I call Minnetonka home, where I’m dad to two incredible boys. My biggest mission in life is to help them grow from little boys into good men.

Outside of work, you’ll often find me at the gym, out in nature, or enjoying hobbies like hunting and fishing. I’m a terrible TV watcher.

I value authenticity and transparency. If you take a moment and read my reviews, you’ll see the terms like “straight shooter” and “no B.S.” come up in many of them. Communication is the backbone of what I do.

If you’re looking for a real estate agent who brings passion, authenticity, and a true commitment to helping you achieve your goals, I’d be honored to be part of your journey.

I was born in St. Paul and was fortunate enough to grow up on a lake about 45 minutes north of the cities. When I’m not working, you will probably find me enjoying the outdoors on a bike, boat, or a pair of skis. I am an avid muskie fisherman & water enthusiast, even when it’s frozen! I’m one of the weird ones that truly enjoys winter and I travel west to ski as often as I get the opportunity.

Chris and I met in college at UMD, but I gravitated towards real estate right after we graduated, and we didn’t reconnect until 2020.

I started my real estate career as an investor, purchasing 5 rental units in 2003. I made a little money and learned A LOT, surviving an entire 2 years as a landlord (no joke) before being forced to sell due to financial constraints. Luckily, I sold before the big crash of 2008, but I wasn’t done with real estate. I decided to get my license to sell, and I was off to the races helping people that needed it badly; doing short sales and saving them from foreclosure.

As you may remember, there was no shortage of foreclosures and short sales in those days, and we were busy!  My first two years selling real estate were a huge success. At 29 years old I was making a great living and thought I had it made. Little did I know that when the market shifted, the skills and expertise I had gained navigating distressed sales did not transfer to a more normalized market.  I felt like I was back at square one, having to learn all over again how to build a new client base.

The truth about the real estate industry is that most agents don’t make it. Even today, the average agent sells only 4 homes a year! Believe me, I’ve had those years!  Through determination, hard work and a little luck, I can confidently say that I’ve built a career that I can be proud of and am humbled and honored to have served 100's of clients over those years.  That’s really what this is about for me. Helping people!  I am a firm believer that to get what we want in life we need to help others get what they want and that is my goal in real estate. Help others. Period.

I've worked with investment properties, short sales, bank-owned homes, investors, commercial property, and, of course, many retail buyers and sellers. With over 20 years in real estate, I truly feel I've found a home with 72Sold. I love what I do and love sharing the news with people that we have a better way!  Fortunately, you don’t just have to take my word for it!
