About us

Chris Bremner

I was born in the Twin Cities and lived there until I was nine. At that time, my parents moved us to the South Shore of Lake Superior to a small town called Washburn in Northern Wisconsin. While I hated it in that moment--with the power of hindsight I'm grateful later in life. Growing up as a little boy it was a dream to be on that big water. There was ample room to run and play outdoors, get my hands dirty, and do all those things little boys should do! And maybe from time to time, do even a few things they shouldn't do. As an adult later in life--I feel that those small-town values have served me well.

I can’t tell you I wanted to be a realtor my whole life. The reality is, I didn’t know what I wanted to do for a long time. I knew I liked helping people though, and the bigger the magnitude of help, the better.  After spending about 10 years in the personal fitness space, life had other ideas and flipped the script on me and I found myself in real estate.

For the first time in my professional life, I knew I was finally in the right spot.

But don't call me a realtor, please.

I have to be honest, I don't want to be lumped in with that group. Don't get me wrong, there are many great agents out there and I'm happy to call many of them my friends.  But our profession in general runs long on promises, but short on trust. Above all else, I value transparency, trust, honesty, and open communication with my clients. It's my job to help you get the best result. Sometimes that means having a hard conversation. It means telling you what you NEED to hear vs what you want to hear. I am very responsive from a communication standpoint. To me, when you entrust someone with what is likely the largest financial transaction of your life, you should feel like you have access to someone in your corner.  If you look at what my clients have to say about working with me--you'll see this is what I deliver on.

These days, I spend most of my free time being a dad to my two boys, Archer and Xavier. I enjoy them more every day. I love the outdoors; fishing, hunting and just taking it all in. I find nature truly awe-inspiring. I am a gym and fitness nut, it has taught me to take care of myself and taught me plenty of lessons about discipline, mental fortitude, and even life.  I have two fantastic parents who are still a very big part of my life. I believe in family.  I made the decision to stop drinking alcohol in 2009. I share this here because it's an important part of my story and has had a massive effect on my adult life. I do not hide from it. I've also learned the more I talk about it, the more power I have to help others with it. I love to travel and see how the world works far from home, it helps us understand each other and appreciate what we have.

I am also a MN native, and was fortunate enough to grow up on a lake about 45 minutes from the cities.

Chris and I actually met at UMD, but I gravitated towards real estate right after we graduated.

I've worked with investment properties, short sales, bank-owned homes, investors, commercial property, and, of course, more typical buyers and sellers. Over nearly 20 years in real estate, I truly feely I've found a home with 72Sold.

Outside of real estate, you will probably find me enjoying the outdoors on a bike, boat, or a pair of skis.
